The 2nd Annual Daniel Stanford , FACINASIA solo exhibition launched this past Monday December 4, with a press conference, collectors preview and ArtBasil tasting of Bindi Deserts by PDF Foods.
Celebrated visual artist Daniel Stanford’s return to Art Basel for the 4th consecutive year in a solo showcase at the sensually appointed Shore Club – South Beach and with a sister collection on display at the Macaya Gallery in the heart of the Wynwood Art District. A month long solo exhibit and installation complemented by a calendar of pop-up fashion-centric and culinary laden – galas, gatherings and philanthropic fundraisers will commemorate the 16th Anniversary of Art Basel Miami.

The conceptual structure of the show is focusing on the ideas that inspire the FASCINASIA series while discovering possibilities of conceptual and artistic dialogues with the artworks of invited artists. The choice of medium varies from mixed media paintings, site specific installations, sculptures. Special invited Artist join the Art installation.
The main idea of the FASCINASIA series is based on Asian culture and its influential heritage. In his works, the artist brings this cultural heritage to the Western understanding of life as an additional value. This eclectic approach finds its form in Stanford’s artistic expressions as a layered integration. In his paintings, a figure appears as a celebrity character or an attractive form of beauty while being surrounded by the architectural and decorative elements of Asian culture and their sensational reflections.
