Miami/FL St Roch Market, the home of 11 ethnic inspired fine dining incubator eateries and a central communal bar takes center stage on Sunday-December 8 and Monday-December 9 wrap up festivities. Here is a destination on the road less traveled in the heart of the alluring and lush Miami Design District.
Described variously as “Smooth”, “Refined”, “Masterful”, “Exquisite” and “Modern” and that’s just a nod to Managers Kenzie Motai, Douglas Hardin and the mustached Max, Valentino and the St Roch Market masterful mixologists. With Harden and Motai hosting a nightly retinue of guests this is a bright light in the constellation of eateries in the vicinity. The chefs will be adding fresh basil and a portion of passion to every recipe served that evening. Wind your way to this retreat one morning to bedtime. Here is dining where no expense is spared.
An incubators is just that where perfection can only be the goal. Restaurants, Trattoria’s, Soup Shops or Vegan Bakeries these are outlets sparing no expense. Such as the reincarnation of La Bottega del Maccherone. Now, at St. Roch Market Miami, the duo delivers their first dining concept, Dal Plin, the word in the Piemonte dialect for ‘pinch’ those cheeks or pasta. Here is where a box of truffles harvested by French piggy’s at $600 an ounce one wonders why they are not kept under lock and key, but then again, St Roch is a family, where everyone knows your name.
From Vegan to Paleo to grass fed waygu connoisseurs there is a portion on the variegated menus for every palette, dietary restriction or budget and a banquet of choices found on 4 continents.
Earlier in the evening Estefan Kitchen , the pinnacle of authentic Cuban dining will fete the famished, while two time ‘Ted Talk’ alumni, Mo Hasan of Intu Power and James Egas will be joined by a remote cast, direct from Lima, Peru with Rae Indigo, the genius and genesis behind World Yoga Institute. She will be weighing in on the state of sustainability today in Peru as she presides over a retreat at the United Yoga Institute.
The nights highlight is brought to guests by Director for the Miami On Sight (Sustainable) fashion shows. Pangea Kali Virga where her runway couture is available for purchase. Words in this case speak for themselves as Pangea has been published in Contributor, Tendencia, TrendPrive, Arsenic, Fatice, Elegant, Dark Beauty, Lucy’s, Vouge. It, 7 Hues, Vulkan, La Botanica, Teeth, LadyGunn, Ellements, Models.com, Phosphenes, Atlas Magazine, En Vie Magazine, Huf, Elegant, Volition, Haute Punch, among others too numerous to name.
Return on Monday December 9 for the wrap up, wind down and reminisce of four mellow – yellow and coral soaked days that served up as welcoming retreats. ArtBasil serves as a complement to the clown car, circus spinning, big top tents that bloom from Wynwood to South Beach every year the first week in December. Reserve now eat@artbasil.org
